Der Kenwood DR-3090 ist ein ATIP Decoder, ("Absolute Time in Pre-groove") dessen Eigenschaften Sie leicht der englischen Beschreibung oder dem hinterlegten Datenblatt entnehmen können.

Da wir leider nicht über ein Handbuch verfügen, haben wir leider auch keine Prüfmöglichkeit.

For recordable media, pre-format must be embedded into the discs. CD-R system adopts a unique addressing technology called ATIP to meet this requirement. ATIP represents the Absolute Time In Pre-groove.

The Kenwood DR-3090 ATIP Decoder inputs the TE signal from a drive system and decodes the ATIP information in the wobble signal.
The TE signal from the drive system is passed through a 22.05 kHz filter for eliminating unnecessary signal components and the wobble signal after the filtering is input to the FM detector. This signal is converted by a comparator into the logic level and, after the sync signal has been eliminated, bi-phase demodulated.
Then it is subjected to the CRC checking based on the specified polynomials to obtain the ATIP data.
Errors are detected by monitoring the CRC error flags. The data obtained above is input to a computer for performing data analysis and error measurement.
The signal required for the signal reproduction is reproduced by the PLL at the moment the signal is converted into the logic level.

As we do not have a technical manual, we are unable to test this unit.
